Eric is an Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law in Queensland with significant experience in work health and safety law, advising government departments and publicly listed companies.
Eric joined Gilshenan & Luton in 2023 as a Senior Associate. Following his admission in 2011, he worked as a Judge's Associate and then spent several years in criminal defence.
Eric has extensive courtroom experience, having represented clients in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts. In 2018 he gained Specialist Accreditation in Criminal Law through the Queensland Law Society.
He expanded his criminal defence practice to include work health and safety law in roles at national and top-tier commercial firms, both advising and defending WHS prosecutions. Eric has advised government departments and publicly listed companies on WHS exposure, compliance and officers' duties, and has defended clients ranging from individual workers through to ASX100-listed companies in Queensland and New South Wales.
